Yoshimasa Tsuchiya (b. 1977, Kanagawa, Japan) is a renowned Japanese sculptor known for his meticulous wooden sculptures that blend elements of Japanese folklore, nature, and personal introspection. Tsuchiya’s life-sized sculptures often depict animals and mythological creatures, capturing their essence through detailed wood carving techniques. His work invites viewers into a world of spiritual reflection and mythological storytelling, bridging the natural and supernatural realms.

Tsuchiya earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s of Fine Arts in sculpture from Tokyo's National University of Fine Arts and Music and later received a Doctorate in Fine Arts, specializing in conservation techniques.
