First introduced in December 2017, KAWS - Small Lie Companion (Black) reimagines the artist's iconic Companion character with a sense of introspection and emotion. Unlike the Open Edition Companions, this version features the figure in overalls, with a slumped posture and elongated nose, evoking themes of vulnerability and reflection reminiscent of Pinocchio.

The Small Lie Companion originally debuted as a 30-foot-tall African hardwood sculpture at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park in the UK before being released as a collectible vinyl figure. This black edition offers a striking monochrome aesthetic, enhancing the dramatic expression of the piece.
