Artwork Introduction

First introduced in December 2017, KAWS - Small Lie Companion (Grey) reinterprets his classic Companion character with a sense of melancholy and introspection. Unlike the Open Edition Companions, this version features the figure dressed in overalls, with a distinctive slumped posture and elongated nose, evoking themes of shame and reflection reminiscent of Pinocchio.

The Small Lie Companion originally debuted as a 30-foot-tall African hardwood sculpture at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park in the UK before being released as a collectible vinyl figure. This grey edition incorporates various shades of grey with black accents, highlighting KAWS’ signature eye and hand motifs.
